Banner Cake Topper Tutorial

Tuesday, December 17, 2013

Esmae's birthday is tomorrow. For her party this past week I made a banner cake topper to go along with her cake. It was super easy and I wanted to share it on the blog today.

  • Paper- The paper I had was two sided polka dot paper in different colors but you could also use two different pieces.
  • Wooden rods
  • Glue gun
  • Chord
  • Scissors

Steps to take

 Cut out triangles

Arrange along chord with opposite colors side by side

Glue paper triangles along chord with glue gun.

Break rod in two so that they are about the same size (It doesn't matter if the ends are ragged as they will be stuck in cake.)

Use glue gun to attach chord to the end of each rod

There you have it. A perfectly cute cake topper that's easy to make and tweak to your liking.
